Twin Ridges Elementary School District (TRESD) is a rural school district located on the ridge between the South and Middle forks of the Yuba River in the Sierra Nevada Foothills of Nevada County, serving the communities of the San Juan Ridge and the 'little town' of Washington with two K-8 schools. We are a diverse demographic with a vibrant mix of both alternative and traditional life styles.
 
Though we're the largest geographical district in the county, our student population hovers near one hundred providing a low student-teacher ratio and a learning environment catered to the individual needs of the student.
